Our Mission
Gulf Salary Reality exists for one reason: to give every South Asian worker honest, verified financial information before they accept a Gulf job offer.
Every year, hundreds of thousands of workers from Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Nepal accept Gulf employment contracts without a realistic picture of what daily life costs on the ground. Recruiters have a commercial incentive to oversell opportunities. Workers often rely on second-hand stories from friends whose circumstances may be very different. The result is financial disappointment โ or worse, financial hardship โ for families who could least afford it.
We built this calculator and blog platform to change that dynamic. Our tools are free, our data is sourced from official government reports, and our analysis is reviewed by professionals who have lived and worked in the Gulf region.
Who We Are
Gulf Salary Reality was founded by a team of researchers, former Gulf-based HR professionals, and expat finance specialists with combined experience across Saudi Arabia, UAE and Qatar. Our core team includes:
- Former HR managers who reviewed thousands of expat compensation packages at GCC employers
- Financial analysts who tracked cost-of-living movements in KSA and UAE markets
- Community researchers with direct connections to South Asian expat worker communities across Riyadh, Dubai, and Doha
We have no commercial relationship with any recruitment agency, employer or Gulf government body. Our only interest is providing accurate, actionable information to workers.
